Does Garcinia Cambogia Really Work?

After the holidays, we're all a couple pounds heavier. Egg Nog is the best and worst thing that ever happened, family feuds induce frequent snacking, and the "it's the weekend" philosophy has spanned for several weeks. Dropping the extra pounds may prove to be rather difficult. Unlike weight gain, which seems to happen almost instantly, weight loss is a painstaking process which involves an individual to invest time and effort to achieve their desired body weight. Unfortunately, not everybody has the time and money to go to the gym or undergo weight loss treatments. There are, however, products that make weight loss faster and easier. Garcinia Cambogia is a perfect example of a weight loss supplement that delivers fast and significant results. World-renowned doctors praise the potency of Garcinia Cambogia when it comes to inducing effective weight loss.

Where Does Garcinia Cambogia Come From?

Garcinia Cambogia essentially comes from the Gamboge fruit also known as the Malabar tamarind. It ripens to a yellowish or reddish fruit which grows about the size of an orange. This fruit in plentiful in Indonesia, India, and parts of Central Africa.

Traditionally Garcinia Cambogia has been used in fruit preparation and cooking. It is used in curry recipes. Garcinia Cambogia bears a sour flavor, making it a top ingredient for dishes that feature moderate to strong sour flavors. It has been proven that the taste as well as the compounds in Garcinia Cambogia activate digestion, which in turn leads to a healthier metabolism.

Belly Buster Fruit?

Garcinia Cambogia first came to the awareness of the public when Dr. Mehmet Oz featured this weight loss supplement on his show. Citing all the benefits one can derive from utilizing it as a weight loss product, millions of people started integrating Garcinia Cambogia supplementation as part of their weight loss routine.

Of course, not all feedback was positive. Some consumers reported minimal to no change in their weight after trying out this weight loss product. Then there were those who successfully reaped weight loss benefits from its supplementation and claimed that it is by far the best and most effective weight loss product on the market. One thing is for certain: it does produce results, but not for everyone.

Hydroxycitric Acid

Experts claim that Hydroxycitric Acid or HCA is the main factor which makes Garcinia Cambogia Extract a powerful weight loss supplement. Studies reveal that HCA triggers weight loss by inhibiting the body's capacity to store fat. Extensive studies have also shown that HCA effectively suppresses appetite, which in turn enables the body to use stored fat for energy.

Randomized clinical studies report that HCA is perfectly safe for long-term use and can be included as part of an overall fitness plan. No study has shown that Pure Garcinia Cambogia produces any ill effects whatsoever.

Studies also report that HCA is crucial in promoting stress relief and increasing levels of dopamine in the brain. Users have reported an increased sense of wellbeing and this has in turn, increased self-esteem and motivation in the gym and with proper food intake.

Buyer's Guide for Garcinia Cambogia

There are a few things you want to be aware of when deciding on a garcinia cambogia supplement.

- Make sure the product is made and manufactured in the USA. It is advised that you should never consume supplements from other countries as you could get seriously ill.

- Make sure the product has 95% HCA, the highest percentage of HCA on the market. Some companies boast that they sell 100% HCA, but truth is no such percentage exists. What they're sneakily implying is that their product contains nothing but HCA (hence "100% HCA"). These "100% HCA" products typically contain 60% HCA, which is very ineffective. Products with lower HCA will not deliver as good of results as HCA is the driving force in this weight loss supplement.

- Look for supplements with potassium and/or calcium. These ingredients are good for the body and they maximize absorption of the HCA. Some companies refer to these as fillers but all successful studies done on Garcinia Cambogia had calcium and/or potassium. It maximizes absorption in the body and you will typically see these ingredients in many top-notch supplements.

And above all else, please consult with a doctor before incorporating any new supplement to your daily routine.

Pregnant or Nursing Mothers, Children under the age of 18 and individuals with a known medical condition should absolutely consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement.
